The following is a small selection of recent work created over the past three years. I have chosen to mix the four motifs or categories the work usually falls into which are portraits, landscapes, still lifes, and symbolic or narrative paintings. There are two reasons for doing this. One is to reflect the way I usually work, which is fluidly between the four categories. I often have a large figurative painting in progress and some other smaller landscapes at the same time. The second reason is to show some of the commonalities the work shares in terms of treatment of form, color, space and composition.
Please feel free to contact me if you would like to see more recent and/or not so recent paintings. I am also active on Instagram and Facebook where I regularly post works on paper such as drawings, pages from sketchbooks, studies for paintings, and relief prints (woodcuts).
